Why does the back of my knees hurt when I walk on the beach?

--I've worn different shoes...and I don't have any knee problems. Seems like this last time my hip flexor hurt too...

Why does the back of my knees hurt when I walk on the beach?
You're getting old princess..lol.. seriously...The sand offers no shock absorbancy so you are taking it in at the knees..
Reply:The way your feet sink into the sand causes more strain to the hamstrings, this causes discomfort or pain.
Reply:You may need to strengthen your hamstrings. Try doing leg curls. Generally, the ratio of strength from leg lifts and leg curls should be 3:2. Your hamstrings may be in slight imbalance.

Also, what they said is true...the beach has less resistance thus putting more pressure on knees.
