What kind of make-up should I wear with the color Red?

I have a Big Date comming up...And I want to of course look great....I'm going to wear this low cut Red Dress...Very Sexy!! My Shoes are going to be Gold High Heels..Also Very Sexy!!! So I was thinking that I would wear kind of like a soft Gold eye shadow, with Red lip stick??? I'm Hispanic, and I'm not light skinned, but also not Dark....I have Dark Brown eyes. Last time I wore this dress I did Smoky Eyes...Which was good...But I was thinking this might be better....what do you think???

What kind of make-up should I wear with the color Red?
Because red is such a bold color by itself...keep everything else simple. It sounds like your going for a "sexy" look- try making your eyes the focus. I would line them with a brown(not black) liner and apply a neutral(almost bare) eyeshadow. Then use a sparkling cream shadow and apply to your brow bone to highlight your bone structure. As far as lips, I would definitely keep them neutral. A creamy, soft color with slight pinkish hues would look good, slight is the key word! Also, even though you probably have warm skin anyways, apply a little bronzer to your cheekbones, sweeping back to your ears. All of these things are key to a great sexy, not overdone, look! Have fun on the big date!
Reply:sounds perfect
Reply:Because it is summer time and the dress is already Va va voom... I think the gold shadow, bronzer on your cheeks and a nude lip with a touch of peach or gold would be fabulous!

Have a great date!
Reply:i think it should be soft gold eye shadow but totally not red lipstick that would look too weird on you(sorry) and some soft gold blush
Reply:its usually best to wear creams and golds with red. browns, creams, golds. looks really great with red. :)
Reply:Uh well your idea is good. But you can also try some bronzer on your face and then for your eyes you can do smokey eyes witch would look great heres a video that will show you exactly how to do it.

Once your done with your eyes you can go with light pink Lipstick or try the natural lips in the video

Hope this helped and good luck!
Reply:I think gold eyeshadow will be a good idea, but red lipstick will get lost in all the red. try either covergirl continous color lipstick in parisian pink (creamy), or powderpink (shimmery) or covergirl queen collection moisterizing lip color in toast of the town.
Reply:try a gold shimmery eye shadow with brown eyeliner and use a lash plumpng mascara. use a sheer bronzer and a pinch of coral blush on ur cheeks try either a glossed red on ur lips or a shiny nude shade
Reply:wear tinted moisturizer and skip the foundation then lightly add some make up setting powder. a bronze shadow with golden tones would be great, skip the lipstick and go with a lightly colored gloss, tons of shine with minimal color which helps and keep the color of your dress vibrant but also adds a little attention to your lips. dont wear too much blush or bronzer since the gold shadow would already be glimmery it would just clash and make your make up look over done. tons of mascara, three layers on top and one on bottom, or none at all!
Reply:cat eye look and neutral lips
