I got some Nike running shoes last year and ever since I%26#039;ve used them my legs haven%26#039;t been the same. I started getting SEVERELY sore shins, ankles, and most recently knees. I can barely run/walk for more than 20 minutes on my treadmill. I thought it was because I%26#039;d gained weight and that was putting stress on my limbs, but now I%26#039;m thinking it is the shoes. What shoes are the best for running?
Best running shoes (mostly treadmill usage)?
If you would go to a running shoe store and get fitted for the right shoes for you, you could greatly reduce the chances of you getting these injuries. At a store like Road Runner Sports you get a 60 day guarantee. If for some reason they aren%26#039;t working, they will exchange them for another shoe.
When you try on shoes they will give you 4 or 5 pairs to start with, which they feel will most likely work for you. Try them on and run on a tradmill to see how they all work. They will do a computer test to see what type of arch you have and how your foot is hitting the ground. The right shoes make a big difference.

Reply:Ok do not get the shocks they are basketball shoes. they are not good for running they put a lot of extra stress on the ankles. Trying getting a pair of Asics they are great for running go to asics.com and look for a pair you can get a really good pair for around 40-60$. And when you run make sure to go heal to toe you may be pronating more than usually.
Reply:I love my Nike shox.. I had a ruptured disk and have had corrective surgury so my legs and feet ache all the time.. The shox are like walking on air...
Reply:maybe they%26#039;re too small or the shoelaces are too tight. try going to a shoestore and measure your feet to make sure they%26#039;re the right size. If that%26#039;s not the case, I suggest New Balance and K. Swiss
Reply:I have really good luck with Saucony. Make sure your socks good quality too (not too thin). Also, you might try adjusting the tightness of your laces. Maybe they%26#039;re too tight or too loose.
Reply:hi
i do quite alot of running and i had the same problem with my nike trainers. i went and got proper trainers from a proper running shop.
Reply:ones that fit and feel good.I have done the same thing as you have but switched shoes Nike to new balance much better
Reply:There isn%26#039;t one answer to the question. Different people need different types of shoes, depending on their feet, stride, etc.
Go find a local running store. Not a general athletic store, but an actual running store. They should have people who will be able to help find the shoes that are going to be right for you.
