How do you tell a friend her outfit is disgustingly horrid with out hurting her feelings?

she keeps wearing all black emo outfits ...today she wore a black faded shirt over different black torn looking skirt with gold strings in it that were coming out, with red and black knee socks with ugly skulls with black ballet shoes..the other day she wore some ugly skirt over jeans that looked 2 sizes bigger..she has money to get clothes, she is just going inthe wrong direction because she dressed well last yr..and she has large outbursts and burps(this last part has nothing to do with it)..i hate when ppl dont wear clothes to compliment themselves

If you really were a true friend, you wouldn%26#039;t be saying those things and letting that get in the way of everything. True friends would never say that, they would love their friends too much to care.





So I would say go hang out with the other fashion zombies and Hollister/Abercrombie clones.
Reply:just try fixing her outfit and make it look subconcious, or wearing a headbad that you think would compliment what shes wearing and insisting she wear it. you could also try sugesting you go shopping together (i always use th old my-mother-is-a-cro-magnon-when-it-comes-... ruse)

If you really dont like it, let your opinion be heard. Tell her you personally dont like it, and then let it go,





She can either listen to you or ignore it, its her style, not yours.

Reply:why don%26#039;t you go shopping with her? suggest going and lead her to the stores she use to like and tell her how great things look on her and beg her to try on something that you think would look really good on her! then just tell her how amazing it really does look!

1. accept her choices and feel as long as she is happy and isnt really emo (depressed, etc) then think %26quot;i guess this is how she is%26quot;


2. go shopping w/her.
Reply:tell her you want to go out with her some time and go shopping. When you hit the mall pick out outfits you think looks cute and tell her to try em on and say how beautiful she looks in them.





Plus you seem like a good friend. To the girl below, she%26#039;s just trying to help her friend out, make her look nice because that%26#039;s what TRUE friends do-- want the best for their close ones.

i mean i loved her and all(friend wise) but it wasn%26#039;t the best choices for her..





me and a group of friends went to the mall together.. took her to stores that had cute clothes and told her she had to at least try a few things on!. She was totally into and i think she really did want to change her wardrobe.. she just wasn%26#039;t sure what to start with..


She ended up getting a lot of cute clothes!..


but we told her she couldn%26#039;t go to hot topic till she at least tried some other stuff on!..





It was really fun!.. And i think she had a great time too!
