Why are my shoes turning blue?

Okay, last year i had a pair of white shoes and they started going blue, so now i have a brown/white pair.. and they are going blue. i find that it only happens during the cold weather.. does anyone know why?

Why are my shoes turning blue?
Omigosh! I thought I was the only one that happened to. I really dunno why that happens so i guess i%26#039;m no help i guess i%26#039;m just relieved to know it happens to others.
Reply:Perhaps they belonged to Elvis?
Reply:If it turns Blue make sure it is not swede - Elvis is haunting you until you can sing %26quot; My Blue swede Shoes %26quot;-- LOL
Reply:it may be the container you are keeping them in. is it blue?
Reply:You are a Smurf.
Reply:Are you treating them with something? If so- maybe that%26#039;s doing it. Are you wearing blue socks- or long dark jeans- sometimes the color can wear off. Hmmmm...
Reply:where you wearing denim pants when you where wearing them?? if so it may have been the blue dye in the pants that rubbed off on your sneakers! it happened to me once too!!
Reply:Maybe you have some type of disease that turns shoes blue! :)
Reply:maybe there cheep or your not taken care of them like you should
Reply:haha well if you wear jeans alot they could turn blue!

or if you have had them for a long time... sometimes rust can make them turn blue!

=]
Reply:Well, I know that if you wear jeans (especially new ones) the blue color can rub off on your shoes and could definitely turn a pair of white tennies bluish.
Reply:its probably the dye from ur jeans bleeding onto the shoes...

i dropped $100 on white shoes, wore them with jeans...

they were blue with 20mins of walking
Reply:if you wear pre dyed blue jeans, any moisture will make them run for a while, if not, its mold.
Reply:That happens to my son%26#039;s shoes too, it%26#039;s the jeans your wearing.

Wash and dry the jeans before wearing them.

Using a old toothbrush, and either a small amount of bleach or dish soap (or both) in a cup of hot water to clean your shoes.
Reply:salt on the ground maybe in preporation for snow?
Reply:i thought that happened to me because i only wear blue jeans. and the jeans rub against the sneakers. it comes out if you wash it. or get that whiteout for sneakers. (if its white sneakers you are/were wearing)
Reply:Are you a cartoon hitman kicking lots of Smurf tail?
