My dog insists on peeing on the carpet every night at the same time on the same spot, why is that?

I wake up and there is a pee spot on the the same spot that she did last nigh and the night before why does she do that is she mad at me for something because whenever i go somewhere she always wants to tag along and if i don%26#039;t let her she gets all mad and chews on my shoes but i don%26#039;t know if she pees on the carpet cuz opf that or if she smells a smell as if the people that used to live there had a dog and peed there once too. and i want to know if we need to wake up earlier to let her out or put a puppy pad down for her.

My dog insists on peeing on the carpet every night at the same time on the same spot, why is that?
Let her live outside where it doesn%26#039;t matter where she pees. Dogs belong outside.
Reply:She keeps going in the same spot because she smells it. The only way you will get rid of the smell is if you remove the carpet. A puppy pad will not help. After you remove the carpet clean the areas where she had her accidents with ammonia.
Reply:i don%26#039;t know where you are from, but there is a website... dogpro.org and you can find a trainer in your area. These trainers are dome of the best in the country. I know this because my Dad is one of them. Obedience class is by far one of the best things you can do for your dog.
Reply:When do you take her our last and when is the first time you take her out. we let dogs out last between 10pm and 11pm and the first time in the morning at 7am-8am . try using a two in one oxy pet cleaner on the spot she pees on, or put papper down to show her paper is better to pee on.
Reply:dogs do it to mark their terratory. so do foxes etc.

perhaps you need to house train it.
Reply:thats wierd, even my pup only pees on the carpet...getting annoying now...
Reply:she is probably going through a phase because my dog did that all the time... she insisted on getting a chew toy and all the ones I have given her she dug up in one spot but she doesn%26#039;t do it anymore...
Reply:If its the same time, why dont you take her out?

Or get a pee pee pad and place in her spot.

My dog is on a schedule.

We started him with pee pee pads, even had to replace a room of carpet to linoleum just to get rid of smell and easier clean up.

He is on schedule and does not pee in the house.

Every two hours as a puppy.
Reply:NO PUPPY PADS. that will teach your dog that it%26#039;s ok to go potty inside. Make sure you take her outside immediately before you go to bed. If your doing that. Try putting her in the bathroom with a baby gate Or crate train her. If thats not working After you have taken her out for the night, no more water. until morning.

You also need an enzyme remover. That will take away the smell of her urine, to keep her from going potty in the same spot.

KIDS %26#039;n%26#039; PETS is the ONLY product I have found to get rid of the urine smell and stain! It%26#039;s at wal-mart and costs about 4 dollars. It beats everything ( Natures Miracle, Oxy Clean, Get Serious* that was even recommended by a trainer at pet smart, and didn%26#039;t work* , Vingar and water. Nothing worked. Spot shot gets the stain out amazing. but for a stain and oder KIDS %26#039;n%26#039; PETS works wonders and also received 4 stars and great reviews on amazon.com.

But, you need an enzyme remover for sure!

Good Luck!

( and DO NOT USE AMMONIA.. There is ammonia in the dogs urine and that will keep her going back to the same spot )
Reply:are you strict with your dog?

if you arent it means he is domanant and he thinks he owns the carpet.
Reply:I have a pitbull puppy and I crate train him at night. He would whine in the cage i let him out. He finnally learned I whine i go outside. I think in the begining have your puppy in a crate at night I dont put my puppy in the crate anymore. the crate teaches them to be clean where they sleep.
