All toes on my left foot were amputated last year. Wondering if running and barefoot walking are possible?

I am not diabetic. I was in a traffic accident and am young and fit besides my injuries. Looking for answers from either medical professionals or people in similar situations. I%26#039;ve asked my doctors but none of them really seem to know. Some guess yes, others no.

I%26#039;m currently able to walk in shoes with a toe filler, but the pain is still too great to try barefoot walking and running is out until other injuries heal.

once it is all healed up you might be able to. your balance may be a bit off though that%26#039;s the only thing. i know symes amps that can walk on their heels.
Reply:Hi JR. My daughter had all the toe on her right foot amputated in a motorbike accident. She has her metatarsals intact. Please email me as I would love to swap stories and info. Report It
