I need a good pair or walking shoes for my job.?

At my job I have to be on my feet for nine hours and my feet really hurt by the end of the day. I got a good pair of athletic shoes but the last couple of hours they really hurt my heels and give me blisters and calises. Anyone know of a good pair of shoes I could buy, hopefully not too expensive?

Birkenstocks might be a good shoe....but they are very expensive! I agree with trying new balance. I was in nursing and that%26#039;s what helped me.
Reply:I work around 12 hours a day, and my feet started hurting so badly I had to see a doctor, where I learned I had developed %26quot;heel spurs%26quot;. The doctor said I needed surgery; however, my pharmicist suggested a new shoe, and I got them. Their called Birkenstocks. They%26#039;ve got cork soles and mold to your own feet. I wore these from that point on, and when I went back for xrays on my feet, 3 months later, the spurs were gone!!!!!! And I%26#039;ve had no feet pain ever since! They have all different styles to choose from, and are the best for workers who are constantly on their feet!

Reply:well van%26#039;s are what a lot of nurses wear that are always on their feet all day.... i wear some the same style of van%26#039;s just with a steel toe because i work in a candy factory, but they%26#039;re comfortable and im on my feet 8-12 hours a day.. you might also try finding new balance, those are pretty decent, most people like those or vans.

Reply:I work on concreate floors for 8-16 hours a day.. I just bought a pair of men%26#039;s Nike Max Air shoes and they are soooo comfotable!! I spent around 70 dollars on them at Finish Line, and they couldn%26#039;t be better!
Reply:you should get those shoes that look like they were made for indains my mom bought them they are from that clothing line ARIZONA they are comfortable yet stylish and they dont cost a fortune!
Reply:reebok tennis shoes are wonderful. I also am on my feet at work all day and also walk in the evenings after dinner and they are the only shoes that have not made my feet hurt. They are the best in my opinion. I have tried most other brands and have found none of them come close to the comfort of my reeboks.
Reply:Any skater shoe they are built for comfort. Vans suck though. I use to wear nothing but vans and my feet always hurt. I wear Etnies and I work 12 hour days and my feet and back never hurt. Plus unlike Nike%26#039;s they don%26#039;t cost to much. You could also try hospital clogs. These are made for people who work 16+ hours a day.
Reply:i used to work on my feet as well for longer periods a day and i bought low shoes and it helped but it was better when i bought cusion like dr. scholls..or you can try clogs like the nurses..
Reply:I have a really bad back....scolosis and osteoarthritis. I work on my feet, part-time, and the only shoes that allow me to do this with little to no back pain are New Balance. I would also suggest some of those Dr. Schol%26#039;s get insoles.
